Joined BWBR in 2018
Sophia fuses her passion for research and knowledge management with her desire to design spaces that make a difference in the lives of others. She served as a design research assistant while pursuing her undergraduate degree at the University of Kentucky, and that passion for research-informed solutions has influenced much of her interior design work, from Ireland to the United States in high tech, biopharma, corporate, and social service sectors. Sophia will lead the interior design, assisting in project visioning, space planning and collaborating with the team in bringing design and documentation to completion.
“Walking is about seeing the world as it opens up to you. When I lived in Ireland, walking was both my pastime and my transportation. It was my daily walk to work that really allowed me to see Dublin’s unique blend of centuries-old, ornate design coexisting next to clean-cut modernism. One of my favorite parts of my walk was passing the childhood home of one of my favorite authors, Oscar Wilde. As I made the move to Minnesota, I clung tight to one of his most famous quotes — ‘Wisdom comes with winters’.”
