Devan Swiontkowski

Project Planner

Joined BWBR in 2016

Devan works closely with senior medical planning professionals and project teams, immersing herself in both design research and health care architecture. She has worked with major regional health care clients, the United States Department of Veterans Affairs, and many community and critical access hospital health systems.

“Before architecture school, I always knew I wanted to help people, but the first time I really understood architecture’s human impact was during an AIAS keynote involving Roger Ulrich’s work. It was captivating to learn that something as simple as daylight or access to nature could enhance the healing process. Through my work and fascination with Evidence-Based Design, I can create an improved health care experience, and — just like Ulrich — have a hand in helping my community.”
