Lakewood Health System

Lakewood Health System provides comprehensive medical services to patients in central Minnesota, including the Sartell and St. Cloud communities. Alongside BWBR and Dale Gruber Construction, Lakewood completed a tenant fit-out that nearly doubles the size of its former location and provides enhanced dermatology and medical spa services.

One of the primary design challenges was creating separate patient experiences for the two distinct patient populations, while efficiently accommodating the staffing and spatial resources shared between the two practices. The design entirely separates the public/patient experiences from the highly connected staff/support spaces, allowing providers from both practices to work seamlessly behind the scenes. Driven by the client’s vision for spaces that felt less like a medical clinic and more like a high-end spa, the interior design brings a subtle and sophisticated luxury, evoking privacy, calm, and the feeling of a relaxing retreat.
