Lifecore Biomedical

Lobby, Breakroom, and Quality Control Lab Remodeling

Chaska, Minn.

Lifecore Biomedical’s expanding production processes required additional lab and office space to support quality control requirements. As part of this effort, BWBR refreshed the adjacent lobby and lunchroom spaces and created multiple visual and physical connections between these various spaces.

The refreshed front lobby enriches the public, visitor, and staff experience, incorporating updated company branding elements. An improved breakroom food prep and seating area gives staff a comfortable place to interact. The creation of views from the breakroom into Quality Control Lab spaces enhance the client tour experience, with most spaces illuminated by access to daylight and views. The overall development of the Quality Control Lab spaces meets the necessary workflow, functional separation, and instrumentation needs.

Size: 20,000 sq. ft.

Components: A more attractive public experience of the facility; access to daylight and views, and outdoor space for office and lab staff; ability for visitors to see lab environments without having to access secure spaces; improved employee experience in the lunchroom

Completion: 2022
