Clinic and Workplace Addition & Remodel

Fairbury, Neb.

A new clinic addition connects the Jefferson Community Health & Life Fairbury Clinic to the west side of the existing hospital, and replaces the existing clinic, which was previously located across the street from the hospital. The clinic’s new location is more convenient for patients and visitors, including when they also need to access hospital services during their visit.

The modernized clinic provides better handicap accessibility, has easier access to advanced technology, and increases the size of the clinic and office space to support future growth. The design helps to improve communication and collaboration between the nursing staff and providers by placing centralized, shared nurse stations near provider offices. A specially designed COVID/flu/infectious disease area features a separate entrance with a negative pressure waiting area and two exam rooms to minimize the transfer of communicable diseases.

Size: 21,000 sq. ft.

Components: Larger waiting rooms and wider circulation corridors; 23 exam rooms; two special procedure rooms; a radiology room; sample/draw space; pediatric rehabilitation; two specially designed negative pressure exam rooms for COVID/flu patients; large conference space for community education and engagement; consolidated hospital and clinic registration

Completion: 2022
