“Architecture and interior design are just like a puzzle on my Grandma's table. I begin by programming — separating the pieces into similar colors and shapes. Next come the edge pieces — the ‘shell’ to this project. I organize the middle pieces based on their relationship to the edge — bringing the interior into focus. And I keep going until the last piece falls into place. As exciting as it is to take in the full breadth of the design, the work to get there is what makes the design so satisfying.”
