"Architecture is a second career for me, yet it’s an extension of what I have always been passionate about: exploring ideas to conceive new and unexpected uses. Early in my career, I was a stage designer/technical director. In those roles, I enjoyed investigating complex design situations, breaking them down into their influential elements, and searching for understanding in the interrelationship among their parts. Architecture is very similar, looking at the complexity of relationships to discover new insights and design solutions that help different people work together productively."
