Park Falls Campus Upgrade
Marshfield Medical Center
To address challenges caused by aging infrastructure and outdated spaces, BWBR partnered with Marshfield Medical Center to upgrade the Park Falls campus. Consisting of three separate facilities built in 1958, 1966, and 1977, the campus had only received cosmetic repairs over the decades. With the hospital’s departments spaced across the buildings and kitchen and dining services located in the basement, patients and visitors faced time-consuming and difficult navigation.
The project consolidates the campus into one state-of-the-art building that improves wayfinding, efficiency, and staff workflows. Contemporary inpatient rooms, new spaces for physical and occupational therapy, an 11-bed med surg unit, and a pharmacy allowing clinic patients and local residents to receive medication on-site help the medical center better meet community needs. With fresh design and amenities, the cafeteria and nutrition services are relocated to the front of the hospital for convenient access. The upgrade supports Marshfield Medical Center-Park Falls into the future with a modern facility that improves the patient and visitor experience while enhancing staff’s ability to provide high-quality care.
