Billy Graham Gathering Room and Mail Room Renovation

While small in square footage, this strategic renovation within the Billy Graham Community Life Commons creates outsize impact as part of the University’s ongoing efforts to make the best use of all campus spaces. With an existing mailroom setup that was underutilized for modern student needs, the team took the opportunity to bring a fresh perspective to one of the most beloved (and central) buildings on campus.

By replacing mailboxes with lockers and creating more defined spaces within the larger area, the mailroom and former print room have been updated and activated for broader student use, including tour groups and admissions. Envisioned as a jewel box within the Commons, the design focuses on glass and transparency surrounding the school’s branding all in service of a space that is unique yet congruent within their existing aesthetic.
