This Mayo Clinic Health System (MCHS) center provides outpatient diagnostic imaging services, previously performed at the Mankato hospital campus. Madison East Health Center is part of MCHS’s ongoing, forward-looking strategy to meet increasing demand for services and prevent congestion at the growing hospital. By providing outpatient imaging and care at the freestanding location, the process becomes more efficient for both staff and patients.

An existing, vacated retail space was transformed to house the center, which was selected for its convenient location and flexibility for future expansions. To make the space suited for healthcare needs, an interior renovation was completed to create patient rooms for scan preparation and imaging labs for X-ray services, MRI modalities, and both CT and PET scanning. The reception and lobby areas feature plant walls that brighten the space and provide a calming, natural environment for patients awaiting care.
