Omaha is the largest city in the state of Nebraska and the county seat of Douglas County

BWBR Omaha

Omaha, Neb. is a hidden gem of a city boasting a world-class zoo and aquarium, an orchestra and opera (as well as the largest community theater in the country!), tons of amazing local restaurants, and a population of about one million residents.

Local History

Through the 2010s, BWBR had been growing its reputation for quality healthcare design in Nebraska, so when the firm learned that Scott Kirchner had recently left another design firm, it seemed like the perfect time to join forces. In 2018, Kirchner joined BWBR to open and lead the new Omaha, Neb. office, which has since grown to a dozen strong. Having a local presence has been of huge benefit to deepening client relationships and providing top-notch local support.

NOTE: BWBR Omaha has moved! As of February 15, 2023, our new address is 3555 Farnam Street, Suite 1200, Omaha NE 68131.

Staff and Projects

While healthcare design remains a specialty and a strong suit, the Omaha team has also been moving into higher education work, as well as science + tech.

Some recent local projects of note include:

Community Connections

The small-but-mighty (and growing!) Omaha team loves to check out local breweries and explore the food scene, COVID precautions permitting, and is also committed to community involvement. Past projects have included the American Heart Association dodgeball tournament, supporting Food Bank for the Heartland, and participating in the ACE Mentor Program.
