For the third year in a row, PSMJ Resources named BWBR to its 2015 national Circle of Excellence, recognizing the best managed architectural, engineering, and construction firms in the nation.
PSMJ Resources, Inc., an international management consulting firm for the architecture/engineering/construction industries, released the list of 66 firms based on 13 key performance metrics that demonstrate outstanding achievements in profitability, overhead, cash flow, productivity, business development, staff growth, and turnover. The Circle of Excellence represents the top 20 percent of participants in PSMJ’s annual A/E Financial Performance Benchmark Survey.
“More and more we’re seeing organizations tap the power of design thinking to enhance how they are doing business. To help them, we have to be a great practice, ourselves, and we’re proud to have PSMJ Resources recognize our efforts,” said Peter G. Smith, AIA, president and CEO.
“Year after year, the diversity of these firms continues to prove that success isn’t necessarily defined by the size of the firm, their practice area, geographic location, or even the markets they serve, but instead by a strong commitment to solid business practices,” says Kate Allen, P.E., director of PSMJ’s A/E/C Industry Surveys. “Our passion may be our practice, by top-notch business practices are critical for sustainability.”
BWBR, celebrating 93 years this year, provides architectural, interior design, and planning services. In 2015 alone, the firm has grown by 14 percent to 147 employees in its offices in Saint Paul and Madison as business has increased throughout the Upper Midwest and Plains states.
As one of the most prestigious firms in the region, BWBR serves institutional and corporate clients in nine market sectors, with health care, higher education, high-tech, office, and wellness making up a majority of work.
“The markets change so fast today. The accolades for our success really go to our employees, who bring innovative thinking, resources, and client service that has allowed our business to both grow and be successful,” Smith said.
