Café, Materials Management, and Surgery Expansion and Renovation
Clarke County Hospital
Clarke County Hospital, a Critical Access Hospital in southern Iowa, initially engaged BWBR to update their facility as part of federal government funding for COVID-19. This led to additional renovations throughout the hospital, including the café and kitchen, materials management, pre- and post-surgery spaces, and exterior.
By improving both the infrastructure and the aesthetics of the aging facility, the team was able to maximize positive impact to the campus with minimal resources. Increased clinical space and enhanced operational efficiency empower Clarke County Hospital’s growth and development as they continue providing high-quality local care to their community. A new second-floor sun deck offers a unique wellness amenity, allowing patients to enjoy the outdoors while receiving care, and interior upgrades elevate the patient experience with a fresh, welcoming environment.
