Project Details

Following a long-term vision and planning concept BWBR helped the Elk River YMCA develop for the organization, the team coordinated a conceptual study exploring site and floor planning opportunities and conceptual exterior imagery.

Public literature and general marketing efforts helped develop project understanding and support, and BWBR provided prefundraising design, with programming and space needs analysis, to help the YMCA’s efforts.

BWBR also worked with the city to obtain legacy landfill grant rebates, saving Elk River more than $1 million through recycling rebates.

Components: Fitness studios and wellness area; drop-in “Kid Zone” childcare area; full-court gymnasium; aquatics area with four-lane pool and leisure pool; community/meeting rooms; locker rooms; administrative spaces; outdoor playground; splash pad water park
