"Writing and playing songs with family and friends, there is an amazing collaborative energy that takes the music to an exceptional level. The initial period of listening, experimentation with rhythms and sounds, learning to play along, against, and around one another – everyone feels and shares when the moment blossoms. That spirit that exhilarates me in music is what excites me in design. It is not always measurable in the sense of work effort or time commitment, but when the spirit of the process gains momentum and people grow comfortable contributing, an excitement builds and projects elevate to the level of exceptional.
