A window to the campus
The Addition’s location on the campus presented an opportunity to create a welcoming gateway to – or “window on” – the campus core.

Stretching westward, the Addition reaches out toward the center of campus. Visible from a nearby vehicular drop-off, its curved form and big outdoor plaza cheerily greets students and visitors entering the campus from this southeastern perimeter.

The outdoor plaza also provides a transitional space that gracefully connects the newer end of campus on the south side of McCollum Hall to the early 1900s buildings standing to its north.
