The school is built on the site of a former one-room schoolhouse.
This inspired the public entrance design, which stands as a symbol
of this communitys respect for its long-standing educational
tradition.
The communitys philosophy of learning includes stimulating
activities for children of many ages in multi-purpose spaces. Today,
the one-room schoolhouse is a dynamic collection of interactive
media resources, science lab activities, art projects, theatrical
productions, nutrition breaks, and community basketball games.
For safety, there are separate entrances for students dropped off
by bus or car. Upon entry, the administration area controls access
to the school while allowing an overall view of the media center
and the surrounding school neighborhood.
