A Healthy Place to Work

Special attention was paid to providing employees with a work environment that would play a positive role in recruitment and retention through the use of daylighting, indoor air quality, materials and finishes, and pleasing, comfortable spaces.

Even though the facility’s main components include such industrious areas as bus maintenance and bus storage, it also includes unique staff areas, including an administrative office pavilion and a driver’s commons. Staff amenities include a wellness room, a large locker room, a lunch room with an “atrium” feeling created through generous use of glass and daylighting, a quiet area, a drug screening room, and facilities where drivers receive transportation training and the fleet’s mechanics are trained in bus maintenance procedures.
