Milton Bergstedt – the first “B” in “BWBR” – joined the firm’s founder in 1941. Though briefly interrupted by World War II, their practice gained momentum during the post-war building boom. By 1957, the firm’s dozen employees included Chuck Wahlberg, Lloyd Bergquist and Fritz Rohkohl – whose names, along with Milt’s, would soon identify the firm until it was simplified to BWBR Architects in the late 70s.
