Religious facilities are the places where people gather to worship,
and to celebrate the momentous events of their lives birth,
coming of age, marriage, death. It is also where they come for the
ordinary activities in the life of a congregation coffee
hour, committee meetings, choir practice, and the education and
faith formation of their children.
Religious architecture represents a faith communitys greatest
hopes and dreams within the bounds of the funds they can
raise. It provides opportunities for designing unique forms that
interpret peoples spiritual and emotional relationships with
one another and with their God/Creator. It is an architecture that
lasts for generations. It is an occasion for designers and a congregation
to work together to create something of lasting meaning: a product
of faith, a labor of love.
